Our commitment

Guided Home Realty is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We work to make guidedhomerealty.com usable by everyone, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, alternative keyboards, and switch devices. Accessibility is a continuous practice, not a checkbox — we treat every barrier report as a chance to do better.

Standard we measure against

We design and build the site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA, as published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative. We also follow Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, and the California Disabled Persons Act. These standards cover perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness across the site.

How the site is built

· Semantic HTML throughout (proper headings, landmarks, lists, tables) · Visible keyboard focus on every interactive element · Skip-to-content link on every page · Sufficient color contrast for body text (4.5:1) and large text (3:1) against background · Forms have associated labels, error messages are announced to assistive technology, and required fields are marked beyond color alone · All meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images use empty alt attributes · Video content has captions or transcripts where appropriate · The site respects the user's prefers-reduced-motion setting and prefers-color-scheme preference where applicable · Embedded third-party tools (HomeASAP IDX search, Mapbox) are reviewed for accessibility and labeled with descriptive titles

Assistive technology compatibility

We test critical flows with VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows), TalkBack (Android), and keyboard-only navigation. We also test in 200% zoom and in high-contrast modes. If you use an assistive technology we have not tested against and encounter a barrier, please tell us — we will reproduce and address it.

Known limitations

The HomeASAP IDX search panel embedded at /listings is a third-party service that we do not fully control. We have selected the most accessible HomeASAP product available and provided an alternative path: any property accessible through the IDX is also reachable by direct address search at /home-value, which is fully built to WCAG 2.1 AA. We continue to push HomeASAP for accessibility improvements.
